Measure for width
Measure the recess width of the window, then add 15cm to each side of the window to allow for pulled-back curtain space. This side-of-recess measurement will vary according to the width of your windows. The wider the window, the more side-of-recess needs to be increased to accommodate a wider curtain volume.
Measure for height
Measure from 10cm above the window recess to the length you require, if different from windowsill or full-length options. For a windowsill, the standard drop below the recess is 15cm. For full-length curtains, it's recommended that you measure to 1cm above the level of the floor.
Pelmets and curtains
Premium: These may involve a site visit to match against surrounding decor / environment. It may involve a combination of 2 or more material types, as well as tassels, buttons, eyelets, piping, borders and tabs. Curtain rings are incorporated and designs involving double and triple pleat are available.
Mid-range: No more than 2 material types, as well as trimmings, eyelets, borders and curtain rings.
Basic: One material type only and borders and curtain rings are incorporated. Regarding curtains, pencil pleat and inverted pleat designs are available.
